Produced only on circular knitting machines, single jersey fabrics are knitted smoothly from cotton or cotton-blend yarns.<\/p>\n<p>The front of the single jersey fabric is smooth, while the back has a loop structure, making the front and back different. Depending on the yarns used, single jersey fabric varieties can be knitted with single-ply yarns and high weight.
